Marsaxlokk is a MUST-SEE in Malta!

Looking for more Malta inspiration? Make sure you check out all of the installments in my Exploring Malta series!!

The waterfront market is what Marsaxlokk is known for. Every day, from Monday to Saturday is your typical market but on Sundays, they add the sale of fish! Get there early because they do sell out!

Bucket List for Marsaxlokk:

Discover more of Marsaxlokk with these fantastic free attractions:

  • Waterfront Market

  • Sunday Fish Market

  • Peter's Pool

Take a stroll along the waterfront to see the beautiful fishing boats.

Best time to visit and holidays:

Spring and early summer, April, May, and June is the best time to visit Malta. The weather is not hot (sunny days and the nights are cool) and there are fewer tourists. You'll able to swim if you don't mind the slightly cooler waters.

We went at the beginning of April and the weather was PERFECT! The temperature was great for getting out and exploring without being miserable in the heat.

We personally stayed at the Hilton in St Julians, and had the most incredible time! Between the courteous staff and prime location, we couldn't be happier!
