  • Bacharach -

  • Nuremberg

  • Bamberg

  • Cologne

  • Dresden

  • Hamburg

  • Füssen

  • Schwerin

  • Bad Dürkheim - Fun to visit all year but known for its Dürkheim Sausage Market - The world's greatest wine festival typically in the beginning of September.

  • Garmisch Partenkirchen - one of my personal favorites, nestled in the Alps with stunning views everywhere you look.

  • Cochem - is known for its wine production and beautiful views of the river as well as the Reichsburg Castle which dates back to the 11th century.

Best time to visit:

April, May, September, and October are the best months to go sightseeing in Germany but personally, I feel any time of year is a good time to visit Germany. The winter months are beautiful with tons of winter activities and Christmas markets! The summer months can get hot but you have so many water activities that it really makes Germany a great spot for vacations.

June and July tend to be the more expensive months to visit and November, January, February, and March are usually the more inexpensive months.
